ONGOING EVENTS - ORNAMENT SALE

The LHS regularly creates commemorative ornaments memorializing architecture and experiences unique The LHS regularly creates commemorative ornaments memorializing architecture and experiences unique to Lansingburgh. These ornaments support our efforts to preserve and promote our local history, while they are also treasures to be enjoyed and passed down to future generations.

Previous ornaments have memorialized, the Herman Melville House, The Lansingburgh Academy (now the Lansingburgh Library), Catholic Central High School, Lansingburgh High School, and The Snowman Ice Cream Shop. The majority of the artwork has been generously donated by Lansingburgh native, artist John Connors.

This year we have selected the memories of the Freihofer horse drawn delivery wagons which were in use in Lansingburgh until 1962. Many ‘Burghers have childhood memories greeting the horses with pets and treats. Once again Artist John Connors has generously donated his work for which we are beyond grateful.

The ornaments have always been $20 each and that continues this year. We can ship them via the United States Postal Service (USPS) for an additional fee.
