Mr. Walsh of Lansingburgh presented a ladies hat, made of manilla hemp, and in some pertinent remarks urged the members to endeavor to introduce hats of this description into general use.—The hat presented had passed the ordeal of a committee of ladies, who pronounced it beautiful and durable.The thanks of the society were directed to be presented to the manufacturer.The Constitutionalist [Bath, Steuben County, NY].
