Membership in The Lansingburgh Historical Society keeps you in touch with all the programs and events that the society has to offer. You’ll not want to miss the fascinating speakers who present programs on local history, people, and places.
Our various fund raisers, silent auctions, sales and dinners offers all sorts of antiques, collectibles, books, art works and services. Come and share camaraderie with those who have an interest in Lansingburgh, Herman Melville, and American history.
Membership also entitles you to participate in L.H.S. elections, for election as an officer or Trustee, to serve on committees and to offer your skills in keeping the society alive. We are always looking for people to donate their time and talent. Contact any trustee to offer your services.
Membership carries with it a subscription to The Courier, the newsletter of the Lansingburgh Historical Society.
Our dues year begins April 1 but you may join at any time. Dues received in January, February or March entitle you to membership as of April 1.
Student / Senior Membership Dues are $10.00 per year
Basic Membership Dues are $15.00 per year
Sustaining Membership Dues are $40.00
Small Business / Professional Membership Dues are $75 per year
Corporate Membership Dues are $200 per year
We encourage you to consider offering a donation to the society in addition to or in lieu of membership. Donations help us to continue the preservation of the 1786 Melville House and the day-to-day maintenance of the grounds and collections, as well as our educational programs. Monetary donations are tax deductible as permitted by law. The society is a non-profit corporation chartered by the New York State Board of Regents and holds a 501(c)(3) tax status.
